John's SpaceJuly 02 Wet WednesdayWe got out snorkelling at Eden Rock after work today, which was good fun, with some decent dives (~ 40ft, 1min) and Suzanne and a bunch of other people came along as well. After that I went out to so the grocery shopping so now I'm ready for bed but have some e-work to do. Yawn. July 01 Two for Tuesday MoviesSuzanne has been looking forward to seeing "Wanted" since the adds started and she wasn't too disapointed. It was a fun flick if a bit derivative of Star Wars (only you can save the Jedi Order, padwan - Luke, I am your father) <the preceeding spoiler content is in black text. highlight to read it>. I wonder how many people will be playing First Person Shooter games (especially online) and calling themselves Wesley Gibson (the hero) or one of the other code names from the movie. June 30 MondayToday at work was one of those days where you walk in and before you get to your desk you get hauled off to do something else and so what you planed doesn't get done. We'll see if tomorrow I do what I planed or if I do what I should have done today.
I got an email from some old friends today. Which made me feel bad I hadn't written back to some other friends in a while like I inted(ed). Maybe tonight. June 29 SundayLazy day at home. Slept in, went for a drive and picked up lunch, read the paper and a few pages of a new book (because I was too lazy to go upstairs and get the one I'm reading) fed the dogs and then watched TV. Mostly procedural crime dramas but we did catch the end of the Euro-08 final. Viva Espana. June 28 Quick Update 2Its 8:15 in the morning and I've already been up long enough to need a second breakfast.
We were taking some people to the airport this morning. They weren't ready when we got to them at 4:45am. On the way to the airport one realised she had forgotten her cell phone, with people's numbers that she needed. When we had practically reached the airport the other realised she had forgotten her tickets and passport. So we dropped the first one off to stand in line and went back to retrieve everything. When we got back to the airport the first person was back outside, with her suitcase, waiting for the second person. I didn't stick around to hear the rest of the story.
On the way home we stopped by Suzanne's grandmother's to collect some plants. We had planted a small flower bed hedge but before I could mulch it over Suzanne decided she wanted some more plants and her grandmother had weeded some out of her garden for us. This was several weeks ago. Since we had a 'free' day today I figured it would be a good time to get the flowers and plant them out. I felt bad her gran had had them for us for so long. (Though they were probably better off in her old tuperware tray with almost no soil but lots of water. The root mass was so dense I was ripping handfulls of bushes out as I could not seperate them in any other way. Now they have lots of soil but are probably root shocked and they better not need regular watering.) Anyway, to make a long paragraph short I've got them all planted out and mulched and I'm de-muded but Suzanne is still back in bed, despite proclaiming at 5am that 'this is really the best time of the day'.
And so the day starts.
